The R-Board, in partnership with FXBG Compost, is launching a seasonal Bi-Weekly Weekend Food Scrap Collection Program to help residents reduce waste and support local composting efforts.

From June 13 through November 1, 2026, food scrap collection will be available every other weekend at two local market locations: Fredericksburg Farmers Market on Saturdays and Long Family Market on Sundays.

This program gives residents a convenient way to keep food scraps out of the landfill while supporting a cleaner, greener community. By participating, residents can help reduce waste, build better composting habits, and contribute to a more sustainable future for Stafford County and the City of Fredericksburg.
