Never throw rechargeable batteries in the trash or curbside recycling. Please dispose of them properly to prevent fires. 

Dispose of used rechargeable batteries responsibly by bringing them to designated recycling centers or reaching out to the manufacturer for information on available programs. City of Fredericksburg and Stafford County residents can recycle rechargeable batteries at the R-Board:

• Belman Road Convenience Center: 1200 Belman Road, Fredericksburg, VA 22401
• Regional Landfill: 489 Eskimo Hill Road, Stafford, VA 22554
  

The R-Board accepts batteries from items like cordless power tools, phones, laptops, cameras, etc. Batteries must be no larger than your fist and weigh under 11 pounds. NO E-BIKE, BOAT, OR VEHICLE BATTERIES! NO DAMAGED, DEFECTIVE, OR RECALLED BATTERIES!
