Did you know? The R-Board began accepting residential food scraps on May 15, 2023, from the City of Fredericksburg and Stafford County residents. Food scraps are accepted at the Belman Road Convenience Center and Regional Landfill.
The R-Board composts collected food scraps. Residents can ensure this program is a success by only putting peels of uncooked fruits and vegetables, egg shells, and coffee grounds in the food scrap collection bins. Please do not bag your food scraps. Fats, oils, greases, meat, bones, and dairy must be kept out of the food scrap collection bins to prevent contamination.
If you have any questions about this program, please call the R-Board at 540-658-5279.
