The R-Board’s Annual Household Hazardous Waste Disposal and Electronics Recycling Day is scheduled for Saturday, September 7, 2024, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Stafford Regional Airport, 95 Aviation Way, Fredericksburg, VA 22406. You can attend this event if you are a City of Fredericksburg or Stafford County resident. This event is provided at no charge. No commercial waste will be accepted.
How can you identify household hazardous waste? If the label on your household chemicals indicates that they can’t be thrown in the regular trash, you should bring them to a household hazardous waste event for proper disposal. Labels that indicate an item as corrosive, ignitable, toxic, or reactive mean the item cannot be disposed of in regular household trash.
Do you have old electronics? These items can be recycled. If you cannot make the upcoming date, electronics recycling is accepted daily at the Belman Road Convenience Center or Regional Landfill.
If you have any questions, please call Francesca Johnson at 540-658-5273.
