What We Do

Mission Statement

The R-Board strives to provide professional, courteous and intelligent solutions to the waste disposal needs of citizens in Stafford County and the City of Fredericksburg.

The R-Board aspires to operate the best-run landfill in Virginia. Our landfill has environmentally sound waste management policies and an active recycling program.

We promote our core values: Balance, Empowerment, Service and Teamwork. The R-Board operates and maintains the Regional Landfill and recycling drop-off facilities in Stafford and Fredericksburg. No tax dollars fund our facilities as revenue is produced through fees charged to commercial trash haulers and goes directly into the operating fund.

We were established in 1987 and meet quarterly to learn how to be a better efficient, cost-effective and environmentally sound operation.
